Woody Once Again Uses This Blog For His Own Selfish Promotion
As many of you know, I've left the world of full-time local news and jumped into a new industry. But I just can't get broadcasting out of my blood. It's stuck there, like some disease. So, I've joined up with a couple friends and we created a weekly sports talk show for Cincinnati's ESPN Radio affiliate: Unabated Sports. The main focus of the show is the other two guys, Martin and Jeff, going head to head. I'm there to put in my two cents, as well, but I'm the "news guy" who delivers updates and previews.
We have a blog, like this one, where we put up the interviews we've done on the show. We've talked to the head football coaches at Miami University and the University of Cincinnati, the play-by-play voice of the Bengals and the guy who runs the team's website. We even talked to a couple guys who worked on the NCAA Football video game and Madden 2006. We also write up some opinion pieces, like my recent one stating OSU fans can't disown Maurice Clarett. I'm pretty sure that will tick off Buckeye fans.
We even broke into normal programming last night to talk about the crazy Bob Huggins situation. Biggest sports story around these parts in 16 years. We got some callers in from Dayton so maybe some of you guys up there can hear it. We're on ESPN Radio 1450 The Ticket on Thursday nights from 8-10 p.m. The signal's pretty weak after nightfall but you may still be able to pick it up. Even if you can't get the show, you can call in and be on the air if you want. The contact info is over on the blog. I linked to it on the right hand side. Hope you guys don't mind. We're a small show and any bit of publicity helps.
Woody!
